McDonald's unveils futuristic restaurant design for 50th anniversary

Replacing its former "Rock 'n' Roll McDonald's" in Chicago, McDonald's yesterday announced that a one-of-a-kind flagship restaurant with a futuristic design will open its doors on the site in April 2005. The new restaurant will meld the past with the future by incorporating founder Ray Kroc's red and

white design of his first McDonalds (which opened 50 years prior in April 1955) while offering customers a contemporary restaurant with Wi-Fi and interactive features.
