Estee Lauder dies at 97
Estee Lauder, founder of the beauty and cosmetics products company of the same name, died at her Manhattan home Saturday, reports The New York Times. She was 97. Lauder founded the company in 1946, with, as the Estee Lauder Web site proclaims, "a jar of skin cream developed by a chemist uncle and the
desire to bring out the beauty in every woman."
