J.C. Penney promotes Michael Cape

J.C. Penney Corp. Inc. has appointed Michael Cape, current director of visual merchandising and store design, to the position of vice president and director of brand marketing and graphic design. for the company's national and private brand broadcast and magazine production, packaging and all in-store graphic design. He will report to Mike Boylson, Penney's executive vice president and chief marketing officer. "These changes are being made not only to improve work flow, implementation and project costs, but very importantly they will assure heightened emphasis on the marketing of our corporate and private brands in national media and all our packaging and labeling," says Vanessa Castagna, chairman and CEO of JCPenney stores, catalog and Internet.
