Levenger to open first retail store

Reading accessories cataloger Levenger is teaming up with department store retailer Marshall Field's, Minneapolis, to open its first store next month, a year earlier than planned. The Delray Beach, Fla.-based company's first store will be a 2,300-sq.-ft. space within Marshall Fields' Chicago flagship. The store will carry products from all the catalog categories, like small leather goods, briefcases and mobile furniture. Levenger employees will staff the first-floor shop and will hand out source-coded catalogs to store visitors.
