J.C. Penney predicts December sales will surpass expectations
J. C. Penney has announced that the company expects same-store sales to rise 4.5 percent in December, exceeding the retailer's initial expectations. The Plano, Texas-based retailer reported that fine jewelry, home, children's and men's products were some of the hottest sellers over the past week. However,
its Eckerd drug stores division is expected not to reach its anticipated 6 percent increase.
