American Eagle sets record

American Eagle Outfitters is reporting that its holiday sales set a record for the company, based in Warrendale, Pa. Total sales for the five weeks ending Jan. 5 increased 10.9 percent to $256 million. Same-store sales increased 0.5 percent. The company sells casual clothing for customers aged 16 to 34.
