Kohl's sales are way up for November

Kohl's Corp. reports it is very pleased with its November sales performance. Comparable-store sales for the month are up 25.9 percent and total sales are up 44.5 percent. In fiscal 2002, the discount department store chain plans to open approximately 70 new stores, including 37 in the first quarter, adding to its current number of 382. The company will enter the Houston market with 12 stores in March. During April, it will enter the Boston market with 13 stores and the Nashville market with four stores, in addition to seven other stores scattered around the country from Texas to New Jersey.
