Cruise line fails
The first major casualty of the terrorist attacks in the tourist industry is Renaissance Cruises. The Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.-based company declared bankruptcy under Chapter 11 this week. The cruise line's main emphasis was the Mediterranean, an area unappealing to tourists at this time. It also booked
cruises to the Far East, South Pacific and Northern Europe. Renaissance ships were the newest in the cruise industry.
