Sara Lee rolls out new lingerie chain

Chicago-based Sara Lee Corp., known for such intimate apparel and hosiery brands as Hanes, L'eggs, Playtex and Wonderbra, has announced plans to roll out its new lingerie chain called Inner Self. The New Age-inspired concept is designed as an antithesis to the supermodel imagery of Victoria's Secret,

to make the average woman feel more comfortable about her body while buying bras and underwear. The chain will cater to women ages 25 to 55 with an average dress size of 12. Sara Lee, which currently operates four Inner Self stores, aims to have 10 stores open by June and eventually plans to roll out the concept nationally.
