Poll: Wilson Wins 'best New Artist'
Gretchen Wilson will win the best new artist Grammy on Sunday night (Feb. 13), according to a Billboard.com poll. The upstart country singer pulled in 50% of 3,470 votes cast, way ahead of her nearest fellow nominee.
In a close race for second, Maroon5 came out on top
with 21% of the tally, followed by critical favorite to win, Kanye West, who garnered 20% of the vote.
Young belter Joss Stone netted 7% of the vote, followed by the longshot Los Lonely Boys, who pulled in 2%.
