Billboard Bits: Morrissey, David Lee Roth, Toadies

Morrissey is planning a 40-date tour of North America, beginning April 27 at a venue to be announced, according to the trusted fan site True to You. Additional details have yet to be announced beyond the confirmation of Kristeen Young as the support

act for the outing.

Earlier this month, Morrissey played three shows in California, his first in the United States in support of the 2006 album "Ringleader of the Tormentors."

Ahead of a planned
reunion tour with his Van Halen mates, David Lee Roth will be back at retail with his own albums this spring. On April 3, Ryko-distributed label Friday Music (fridaymusic.com) will reissue remastered editions of "A Little Ain't Enough" (1991), "Your Filthy Little Mouth" (1994) and the highly collectable "Sonrisa Salvaje," which is the "Eat 'Em and Smile" (1986) disc sung in Spanish.

Meanwhile, Rhino is also planning a Van Halen retrospective to coincide with the tour but a release date and a track list have yet to be finalized.

Following a 2006 reunion, the Toadies, best known for the mid-'90s rock radio smash "Possum Kingdom," will be back on stage for four shows next month in their home state of Texas. The group will play March 12-13 in Austin as part of South by Southwest, March 14 in Houston and March 17 in Dallas.

The Toadies' current lineup features original guitarist/vocalist Vaden Todd Lewis and drummer Mark Reznicek, guitarist Clark Vogeler and bassist Mark Hughes.
