TLC member Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes will be laid to rest Thursday (May 2) in Lithonia, Ga., according to a statement from her manager. The funeral will take place at 11 a.m. at the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. A private visitation for family and friends will be held in Atlanta the night before the services.

As previously reported, the rapping member of the R&B trio, was killed Thursday night in a car crash in Honduras, where she was vacationing. Eight other passengers in the vehicle survived the crash, said to have killed Lopes instantly.

Lopes was trying to pass a car on a Honduran highway near Jutiapa when a truck approached from the other lane, forcing her to veer sharply to the left, according to police inspector John Cole of the resort town of La Ceiba. The Mitsubishi Montero she was driving struck two trees and flipped over several times. Cole said the seriousness of the accident indicated that Lopes was speeding, but he could not say exactly how fast she was driving.

Lopes became a single mother two years ago when she adopted a girl named Snow, said a spokesman for TLC. The girl, 9, was not with Lopes at the time of her death.
