Cbs Theme Songs Collected On Set

New York-based TVT Records/Tee Vee Toons has pacted with the CBS television network for the release of "CBS: The First 50 Years," a 50-song compilation due May 19. The album, which will feature theme songs to such shows as "Mission: Impossible" and "Hawaii Five-O," will be tied in to a two-hour TV special

May 20 looking back at the network's history.

In addition, Rhino will issue a four-CD boxed set collecting music from seven decades' worth of Warner Bros. films. In stores June 2, "Warner Bros.: 75 Years Of Film Music" will feature 84 songs, main themes, and suites created for Warner Bros. films released between 1927-1997. Crossing the gamut of popular music, the package will include such favorites as "Evergreen" (Theme from "A Star Is Born") by Barbra Streisand, "My Mammy" by Al Jolson, "Secret Love" by Doris Day, "Who's That Girl?" by Madonna, "Something He Can Feel" by Aretha Franklin, and "On The Road Again" by Willie Nelson.
