Acts In Line For Smokin' Grooves, B.b. King Jaunts

House of Blues Tours & Talent has solidified the performers and schedule for its two large summer tours, Smokin' Grooves 1998 and the B.B. King Blues Festival Presented by Southern Comfort. The treks will run from July through September.

According to the Hollywood

Reporter, Smokin' Grooves will feature such talent as Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, Wyclef Jean and the Refugee All-Stars featuring Canibus, Busta Rhymes, Gang Starr, and Black Eyed Peas. The outing kicks off July 22 at the Darien Center in Buffalo, N.Y., and will visit 29 markets before closing Aug. 29 at Nissan Pavilion in Washington, D.C. Major tour stops include Holmdel, N.J. (July 26); Atlanta (Aug. 3); and Los Angeles (Aug. 13-14).

The B.B. King Blues Festival features King, Dr. John, the Neville Brothers, Storyville, Jonny Lang, Susan Tedeschi, Jimmie Vaughan, Koko Taylor, the Bobby Blue Band, and Colin James on select tour dates. It launches Aug. 7 in Vancouver and concludes Sept. 27 in Austin, Texas. Dates include Los Angeles (Aug. 18), New York (Sept. 9), and Dallas (Sept. 25).
