Look for former Guns N' Roses guitarist/songwriter Izzy Stradlin to release his second solo album in March. '117 Degrees' features GN'R bassist Duff McKagan, Reverend Horton Heat drummer Taz, and Georgia Satellites guitarist Rick Richards, who played on Stradlin's first solo album . . . Singer Scott Weiland, whose solo debut is due in March, expects Stone Temple Pilots to regroup and record a new album in 1999, according to Billboard Bulletin.
Megadeth raised more than $2,000 and collected crates of food to benefit the citizens of Montreal. The city had been left without heat and electricity as a result of recent storms; the concert was approved after Megadeth said it would donate proceeds from the event to local relief centers.
