Lifebeat Lines Up Pop Acts For World Aids Day Benefit

98(infinity), Outkast, and Usher lead the list of top pop artists who will grace the stage at a benefit concert for LIFEbeat, a non-profit music industry AIDS organization. Scheduled to take place Nov. 21 at New York's Beacon Theatre, the Music With A Message: World AIDS Day 2000 concert will also feature

performances by Jessica Simpson, the Baha Men, and other artists yet to be announced.

The event, which is being co-sponsored by Levi's Jeans, will be hosted by recording artist Pink and MTV "Total Request Live" host Carson Daly. Proceeds from the event will benefit LIFEbeat's youth prevention programs, as will a $1 donation by Levi's for each person who logs onto its Web site from Dec. 1-7, up to $50,000.

The concert will be taped for a Dec. 1 broadcast on MTV in conjunction with World AIDS Day. Tickets will be on sale Friday (Oct. 27) via Ticketmaster and the Beacon Theater box office.
