The 22-date U.S. run of the Montreux Festival On Tour, kicking off Aug. 4 in Chicago, will feature performances by Al Jarreau and David Sanborn.
Also appearing on the Oldsmobile Aurora-sponsored tour, due to wrap Sept. 4 in Seattle, will be Roberta Flack, Joe Sample,
and George Duke with his All-Star Band.

Mudvayne, who join the Tattoo The Earth tour Saturday (July 15) in Portland, Ore., will release its debut Epic album "L.D. 50" Aug. 22.
Recorded in Vancouver with producer Garth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, L7), the album was executive produced by Slipknot percussionist Shawn "6" Crahan. The two bands, which will share the stage on the Tattoo The Earth tour, toured together earlier this year.
The Tattoo The Earth tour, which runs through Aug. 12 in Phoenix, also features Slayer, Sevendust, and Coal Chamber on most dates, with Stone Temple Pilots and Metallica each joining the tour for one show.

After a long association with Sony Discos, Venezuelan singer/songwriter Franco De Vita, author of numerous hits, including the Ricky Martin-recorded "Vuelve," has signed a three-disc deal with Universal Music Latino. The first album is due out this fall.
The move is part of Universal's effort to expand its roster and catalog. The company also recently signed Mexico's Los Tucanes de Tijuana.
