U.K. rock act Elastica will kick off its first North American tour in almost five years with a Sept. 20 gig at the Fillmore in San Francisco. Not all the dates have been announced, but the current schedule finds the band hitting major markets through an Oct. 7 date in Boston.
The
tour is in support of Elastica's second album "The Menace" (Deceptive U.K./Atlantic U.S.) the long-delayed follow-up to the band's 1995 self-titled debut, which hit No. 1 in the U.K. on the strength of singles such as "Connection," "Car Song," and "Stutter." In Japan, "The Menace" will be released on Sept. 27.
