B.B. King's annual Blues Music Festival is set to bow Aug. 1 in Las Vegas, with Buddy Guy, best new artist Grammy nominee Susan Tedeschi, and Tommy Castro in tow. The tour will visit 32 cities, with additional dates expected shortly.
King, who has appeared at all nine
installments of the event, will be performing material from his just-released MCA album "Makin' Love Is Good For You." King's long-awaited collaborative album with Eric Clapton, "Riding With The King," is due June 13 on Reprise. The pair previously worked together on the song "Rock Me Baby," featured on King's 1997 MCA album "Deuces Wild."
In addition, King will appear at PBS' annual Memorial Day Concert, to be broadcast live May 28 from the west lawn of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.
