Stars To Honor Elton John At Musicares Event
Sting, Phil Collins, Melissa Etheridge, Mary J. Blige, Diana Krall, Stevie Wonder, Bonnie
Raitt, Rod Stewart, Gloria Estefan, Moby, Sheryl Crow, Natalie Cole, and Tony Bennett
are among the artists expected to appear at the MusiCares Person of the Year dinner Feb. 21
in Los Angeles. This year's honoree is Elton John.
The industry-only event is hosted by NARAS, the Recording Academy, two days before the association presents the annual Grammy awards on CBS-TV.
Proceeds from the dinner will benefit MusiCares' financial assistance program for elderly musicians. Past MusiCares honorees Include Stevie Wonder, Luciano Pavarotti, Bonnie Raitt, and Gloria Estefan. Founded in 1989, MusiCares is the charitable arm of NARAS.
