BENEFIT FOR ROGUE WAVER

Sub Pop rock act Rogue Wave will headline a Sept. 30 show at San Francisco's the Independent to raise funds for drummer Pat Spurgeon, who is in need of a kidney transplant. Also on the bill are Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard, Nada Surf's

Matthew Caws, Guster's Ryan Miller and John Vanderslice. Fans can also make a donation to a fund earmarked for Spurgeon's medical expenses via roguewavemusic.com.



IN GOOD TASTE

New York restaurants such as WD-50, Le Bernardin, Craft, 5 Ninth, Katz's and Sea Grill will participate in a tasting dinner and auction to benefit the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Foundation Oct. 30 at New York's Roseland Ballroom.
