Benefit/Lee Friedlander Helps New Orleans Musicians

To benefit New Orleans musicians trying to cope in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, photographer Lee Friedlander is selling dozens of prints, all shot in New Orleans. All proceeds from the sale go directly to the non-profit New Orleans Musicians Hurricane Relief Fund. The prints include portraits of musicians Aaron Neville, Buster Holmes, Henry "Booker T" Glass and others, as well as images of New Orleans landmarks, signs, graffiti and typically Friedlanderesque street scenes taken over the last 50 years. The 11 x 14-inch prints are priced at $3,000; 16 x 20- and 20 x 24-inch prints are priced at $5,000. Images can be seen in the lobby of New York's Museum of Modern Art and online at the Web site of the Janet Borden Gallery.
