The International Center of Photography has announced the winners of the upcoming ICP Infinity Awards, to be presented at a ceremony May 14 in New York.
William Klein has won the Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his work in fashion and film, as well as
the street photography of his classic book, "Life is Good and Good For You in New York: Trance Witness Revels."
Photojournalist
Milton Rogovin, a Buffalo, N.Y., native whose career spans more than 60 years, is the winner of the Cornell Capa Award, named after ICP's founding director.
Book publisher, collector, photographer and fashion designer
Karl Lagerfeld wins the ICP Trustees Award, an award given periodically by the ICP board.
The Young Photographer award goes to
Ryan McGinley, an editorial and advertising photographer and the youngest artist to have a solo show at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
VII photojournalist
Christopher Morris's book "My America," a slightly unsettling look at the Bush administration, is the winner of the photojournalism award.
Australian contemporary artist
Tracey Moffatt wins the art award for her photography and films.
Other winners include professor and critic
David Levi Strauss for writing, the book "
Sommes-nous?" by the Tendance Floue collective for publication, and The Gap chain for applied/fashion/advertising photography.
