Focus On AIDS In California

The 9th Focus on AIDS photography benefit auction returns on March 15. All proceeds from the event, produced by the Focus on Aids Foundation and AIDS ReSearch Alliance, goes to non-profit agencies fighting AIDS. This year's beneficiaries are AIDS ReSearch Alliance, Caring for Babies with AIDS and Focus on AIDS Foundation.

Held at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills, the event features 240 rare, vintage and contemporary photographs in live and silent auctions. Contributors include Richard Avedon, R. J. Muna, Sebastiao Salgado, Herb Ritts, Ruth Orkin, Greg Gorman and Francesco Scavullo. Images will be shown at the opening on March 9 at 6 p.m. at Barneys New York at 9570 Wilshire Boulevard, until the auction on March 15.
