The New York chapter of the Advertising Photographers of America will be helping New York photographers directly impacted by the disaster, says president and chief executive officer Jill Corson.

"In the aftermath of the attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon,

all of us feel the need to help in some way or another," she says. "Several APA/NY members live or work from studios within blocks from the World Trade Center."

The organization will act as a "clearinghouse" for members who need help to continue operating their businesses, such as equipment, studios, desks, or computers. Corson says they will try to connect those who can offer help with those who need help. See www.apany.com or call (212) 807-0399 for more information.
