Online magazine Sports Shooter is calling for entries again in five categories: Best Action Photo, No Pro, No College, Best No Ball, Student Portfolio, and Photo of the Year.
The deadline will be midnight Super Bowl Sunday, or February 3, 2002. Entries to the Sports
Shooter Contest must be made digitally and submitted via e-mail. Details on file size will be outlined in the next issue and on the Sports Shooter Archives, found at www.manginphotography.com , and on the Sports Shooter Forum on www.robgalbraith.com
The "Best Action Photo" is any image showing game action within the arena or stadium holding the event. "No Pro, No College" are images from a sporting event that does not involve a professional or major college team. They can be action or feature. "Best No Ball" is a feature category, but can be any photograph that does not have a ball (or puck) in it. This includes jubilation or dejection type images, and portraits.
The "Student Portfolio" category is open to photographers who are full-time students. They can submit up to five images and will be judged on technical skill, diversity and impact.
"The Photo of the Year" is picked from the winners of the other categories. Check out past contest winners on the Sports Shooter Archive site at www.manginphotography.com/intropage.html
