Veteran Talent Buyer Don Romeo Dies

Don Romeo, a pioneering talent buyer for fairs and festivals, died Saturday at his home in Omaha, Neb., of liver and kidney failure. He was 76.

Romeo formed the Don Romeo Agency in 1954, booking acts ranging from Lassie to the Rolling Stones, as well as numerous leading

country artists. He retired in 1989, and his son Bob Romeo took over the agency, which was acquired by TBA Entertainment 10 years later. Bob Romeo continues to head TBA's fairs and festivals division.
