French collecting society SCPP has reached an agreement with national online radio stations association France Webradios, covering the use of its label members' repertoire on small and medium Web radios in France.

Web radio stations with annual revenue under ?15,000 ($19,900) and with an average audience under 5,000 simultaneous listeners will annually pay ?480 ($637) to the SCPP for one Web radio channel, plus ?80 ($106) for each additional channel.

Web stations with annual revenue between ?15,000 ($19,900) and ?40,000 ($53,000) and with an average audience between 5,000 and 20,000 simultaneous listeners will annually pay ?960 ($1,270) for one Web radio channel, plus ?160 ($212) for each additional channel.

SCPP and France Webradios estimate that 180 stations fall under the outlined criteria.

According to a joint statement issued Monday, the contract aims to take into account "the fragile economy of these new radios that are usually handled by music passionate people."

President of France Webradios Sébastien Petit expressed his satisfaction for the pact, outlining the "strong open mind" of the labels society.

SCPP had earlier published conditions for bigger commercial Web radios.
