Label Mobile, a mobile-content provider owned by leading Japan record labels, said today that it has launched a music video-clip service on NTT DoCoMo, Japan's biggest mobile carrier.

The videos, which can viewed as full-length tracks or as video "chaku-uta" (master ringtones) cost between ¥315 and ¥525 ($2.70-$4.50) per track. Over 1,000 videos will initially be available.

Label Mobile says it plans to launch a similar service on mobile carrier KDDI's "EZWeb" mobile portal in the future.
