Jay-Z To Release 'Unplugged' Album
Jay-Z will become the first hip-hop artist ever to release an album from the "MTV Unplugged" series when Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam issues "Jay-Z Unplugged" next week. The rapper's "MTV Unplugged" special aired Saturday on MTV 2 and debuts on MTV today.
Backed by the Roots,
with guest appearances from Mary J. Blige and Jaguar Wright, "Jay-Z Unplugged" will feature performances of 13 tracks from the rapper's album "The Blueprint," which rests at No. 16 on this week's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. MTVwill air "Big Pimpin' " as its first video from the special.
