Bay Area-based independent label Quannum Projects has partnered with TVT Distribution for a multi-year distribution deal. The pact will cover Quannum's entire catalog, which features Blackalicious, DJ Shadow, Lyrics Born and Lifesavas, in addition to future releases.

"We

are excited to be entering our new distribution relationship with TVT," said Quannum president Xavier Mosely of Blackalicious. "They have long been one of, if not the most, successful independent labels and distributors in North America. They provide all the resources of a major while still maintaining an independent small company feel."

Rapper Pigeon John's Quannum debut, "Pigeon John? And the Summertime Pool Party," set for Sept. 12 release, as well as rock/soul/funk trio Honeycut's debut, "The Day I Turned To Glass," expected Sept. 26, will be the first two releases under the new deal.
