Sony BMG Mexico Reveals Management Changes

Sony BMG has revealed management changes in its Mexican operation.

Miguel Trujillo, who was most recently running the label's West Coast operation, has been appointed managing director in Mexico. Trujillo, who was responsible for the signing and development of acts

like Reik, Ulyses Quintero and Beto Terrazas, will be based out of Mexico City, reporting to Kevin Lawrie, president of Sony BMG's Latin region.

Roberto Lopez has been appointed to the newly created position of senior VP business development and strategic initiatives, responsible for expanding Sony BMG's music business interests beyond the traditional product-oriented areas. Lopez was previously president of Sony BMG Mexico. He will continue to be based out of Mexico City, reporting to Lawrie.

Sony BMG's Mexican roster includes top acts like Sin Bandera, Julieta Venegas and newcomers Allison and Camila.
