Virgin Entertainment Group's v.shop chain?launched in September during the group's ongoing revamp of its under-achieving Our Price operation in the U.K.?is spending some £3 million ($4.3 million) on its first media campaign during the run-up to Christmas. Print, TV, and radio advertising will be centered
around the message, "One store you can't ignore this Christmas," and will feature music, video, cellphone, and music hardware products. The TV ads begin airing today in the U.K.
Some 100 of the 229 Our Price music retail outlets have been converted to v.shops since Sept. 4.
