Wherehouse Auction Could Close Today
The auction for Wherehouse Entertainment that was initiated as a possible reorganization plan for the company could culminate today in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware. Sources say there have been two bids for Wherehouse, by Trans World Entertainment and Sun Capital Partners. The offers are being reviewed,
and Wherehouse could be sold to the highest bidder by the end of the day.
Neither Trans World nor Sun Capital was available for comment.
