ASCAP Scholarship To Go To Latinos
Songwriter/producer Rudy Perez is funding the first-ever ASCAP Foundation scholarship specifically for Latin music students. Perez will donate $25,000 to launch the Rudy Perez Songwriting Scholarship, which will benefit new Latino songwriters and composers. The national scholarship will rotate yearly
among schools in New York, Puerto Rico, Miami, L.A. and San Antonio, Texas.
A formal announcement will be made during a luncheon Sept. 4 in Miami.
