Metropolitan Talent Presents will produce the debut tour of INXS with new lead singer J.D. Fortune. The tour begins Jan. 18 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver, B.C.

This will be the first tour produced by Metropolitan since a New Jersey District Court judge ruled that Metropolitan co-CEO John Scher's non-compete clause with Clear Channel Entertainment had run its course (Billboard.biz, March 21).

INXS is booked by Keith Naisbitt of International Creative Management and managed by Martha Troup. The INXS "Switched On" tour with Fortune as frontman will play casinos, theaters and arenas in more than 20 North American cities.

Tickets are scheduled to go on sale the weekend of October 15. Up-to-date tour information will be posted at www.INXS.com.

Fortune got the gig with INXS via a popular television competition, "Rock Star: INXS." INXS recently released the single "Pretty Vegas" and are currently working on their Epic Records debut with producer Guy Chambers. The album, entitled "Switch," is due in stores November 29.

The INXS lineup is Andrew Farriss (keyboards/guitar), Tim Farriss (guitar), Jon Farriss (drums), Kirk Pengilly (guitar/saxophone), Garry Beers (bass) and Fortune.
