Austrian Retail Body Joins GERA-Europe
The Austrian Entertainment Retailers Assn. has joined the Brussels-based Global Entertainment Retail Assn. Europe (GERA-Europe). The Austrian body, headed by president Gerda Korp, represents 150 entertainment merchants and operates as a division of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce.

GERA-Europe president Simon Wright says the Austrian group's membership will help "ensure that European entertainment retailers speak with one voice when it comes to representing and defending their interests vis-a-vis music-industry organizations and the European institutions."
Other GERA-Europe members include the national entertainment retail associations of Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and the U.K.
