Female Stars Laud Dolly On Tribute Set
Norah Jones, Alison Krauss & Union Station, Shania Twain and Allison Moorer are among artists who will appear on an all-female tribute to Dolly Parton, due Oct. 14 on Sugar Hill Records. The set, "Just Because I'm a Woman," marks the 35th anniversary of Parton's RCA album of the same name. The new
release features tracks written and made famous by Parton, such as "9 to 5," "I Will Always Love You" and "Jolene."
Others featured on the tribute include Melissa Etheridge, Joan Osborne, Shelby Lynne, Emmylou Harris, Sinead O'Connor, Kasey Chambers, Mindy Smith, and Me'Shell Ndegeocello. Parton will provide a new recording of the title track.
