Roots Sign On For 'Street Time' Series

Drummer/percussionist Ahmir "?uestlove" Thompson of hip-hop group the Roots has teamed with screen-music writer Barry Cole to provide the score for the second season of "Street Time," a Showtime original cable series about ex-cons and their parole officers. The Roots' lead MC, Tariq "Black Thought" Trotter,

is also involved in the series, in which he will make his TV acting debut.
