Universal Publishing Signs Dave Gahan, Jeff Bass

Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) has inked separate deals with Eminem collaborator Jeff Bass and Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan.

UMPG will publish Bass for the world except North America; Bass' most recent writing/production collaborations with brother Mark

Bass and Eminem include such hits as "Without Me," "Lose Yourself" and Cleaning Out My Closet."

Gahan has struck a worldwide deal with UMPG. His solo effort, "Paper Monsters" (Mute), sits at No. 38 on Music & Media's European Top 100 Albums chart.

The pacts were completed by UMPG's Paul Connolly, executive VP for Europe/managing director for U.K., and Kim Frankiewicz, VP of international.
