BMG Appoints Sales Team For Strategic Marketing

The BMG Strategic Marketing Group--which includes BMG Special Products, BMG Heritage, strategic marketing, and the direct-response TV unit--has assembled its sales staff. The move follows the reorganization of the major's marketing team earlier this year (Bulletin, April 24).

The

strategic marketing sales staff is overseen by senior VP of sales Mike Mjehovich, who reports to executive VP Joe DiMuro. Newly hired are Jon Burk, as director of sales for the West Coast, and Kathy Spitz, director of sales for the Midwest. Burk was previously senior director of retail marketing at EMI Music Marketing; Spitz was a segment director at the Handleman Co. The Northeast is handled by Dean Harmeyer, a holdover from the previous sales team.
