Hip-hop duo Blackalicious has signed with Epitaph imprint Anti, which will on Sept. 27 release the group's new album, "The Craft." "Powers" is tipped as the first single and "Rhythm Sticks" will be available this summer as a 12-inch vinyl single.

"The Craft" features

several notable guest appearances, from George Clinton on "Lotus Flower" to Floetry on "Automatique." Blackalicious' former Quannum labelmates Lateef and Lyrics Born drop by on "Side To Side" and "Give It To You," respectively.

"I don't know how people are going to react," Blackalicious' Gift Of Gab told Billboard.com last year as the duo was in the studio. "We're really not trippin' on this album. We just really want to explore what it is to be an artist. We want to do hip-hop; it's always going to be hip-hop, but we thought, what if we did some rock sh*t? Or sh*t like the Beatles or Jimi Hendrix? What would it sound like?"

"The Craft" will be the follow-up to Blackalicious' 2002 MCA debut, "Blazing Arrow," which has sold 229,000 units in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The group is expected to tour in the fall.
