Satellite Services Ink SoundExchange Deal

XM Satellite Radio and Sirius have reached an agreement with digital royal collection society SoundExchange on terms for the public performance of copyrighted sound recordings.

Terms of the deal, which runs through 2006, were not disclosed, but a source says all participants

are "happy they can avoid" a Copyright Arbitration Royalty Panel.
