Sony Inks Mobile Deal With AT&T Wireless
Sony Music's Mobile Products Group will announce today that it will begin offering ring tones and other programming through AT&T Wireless' mMode service. Customers will be able to buy ring tones of songs by Sony artists, display graphics such as album covers, and make CD purchases through links to
Amazon.
Among the ring tones being offered are John Mayer's "Your Body Is a Wonderland" and Rage Against The Machine's "Bulls on Parade." The tones cost between 99 cents and $1.99 each. For an additional subscription fee of $1 per month, users can download a special application to their phone that allows them to receive news, tour dates, and other information and pictures of Sony artists.
