Amerie, Ashanti Top Soul Train Noms
Amerie and Ashanti lead the nominations for the 17th annual Soul Train Music Awards, with three each. Both are up for best R&B/soul single and album, female. Earning two nods each are Musiq, Justin Timberlake, B2K, Floetry, and Nelly.
The two-hour show will air
live in first-run syndication March 1 from the Pasadena (Calif.) Civic Auditorium, hosted by Queen Latifah and Arsenio Hall. Winners are determined by radio programmers, artists, and retailers.
