IFPI's Berman Re-Ups

Jay Berman has renewed his contract as chairman/CEO of the IFPI for three more years, Bulletin has learned. The former RIAA chairman became the IFPI's first full-time chairman in 1998, and two years later exercised an option for another two-year tenure.

Berman tells

Bulletin a major task will be streamlining the IFPI, which has been criticized for its spiraling costs. "We are looking to do more with less," he says.
