Sirius Stock Jumps On News Of Ford Deal

Shares of Sirius Satellite Radio rose 17% yesterday following an announcement that Ford Motor Co. will begin offering Sirius radios in 2003 models of Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Jaguar, Volvo, and Land Rover cars. Ford, which also owns Aston Martin and has a 33% stake in Mazda, will announce distribution

plans for those brands at a later date.

In addition, Sirius says it will issue Ford a warrant allowing it to purchase up to 4 million shares of common stock at an exercise price of $3. This replaces a previous warrant with an exercise price of $30.

The stock closed yesterday up 15 cents at $1.01.
