Ocean Colour Scene Inks Sanctuary Deal
Brit-pop act Ocean Colour Scene has signed a worldwide recording deal with the U.K.'s Sanctuary Records, a division of the Sanctuary Group plc. The label says an album of new material is to be released in April 2003; nine tracks have already been recorded at Paul Weller's Black Barn Studios. A series
of live U.K. dates will begin this month, including a guest spot with Oasis on Saturday in Derry.
Ocean Colour Scene, which signed to MCA in 1995, has had 10 top-20 U.K. singles and five top-10 albums.
