'Idol' Contestants To Reunite In Vegas Gig
The 30 semifinalists for "American Idol" are set to reunite Sept. 23 in a two-hour Fox TV special. The working title of the show is "American Idol in Las Vegas." The program, featuring performances from the contestants, will be taped before a live studio audience at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
The "American Idol" winner will be revealed in the show's two-hour season finale, which airs on Fox next Wednesday. According to Nielsen Media Research, last week's ratings for "American Idol" reached a record 15 million U.S. viewers. RCA Records will release an album from the "American Idol" winner on Nov. 26, as well as a compilation album of the top 10 finalists on Oct. 1.
