Manga Cuts Distribution Deal With Anchor Bay

Manga Entertainment's library of Japanese animé DVDs will be exclusively distributed by Anchor Bay Entertainment, starting Sept. 1.

WEA will continue to distribute Manga titles until Aug. 31.

The deal was announced two months after

Manga was sold by Palm Pictures to IDT Entertainment Corporation, which also owns Anchor Bay.

One of the first releases under the new deal will be "Dead Leaves" (Sept. 28), produced by the well-known Japanese animation studio Production I.G.

Manga catalog titles include "Ghost in the Shell," "Ninja Scroll," "Blood the Last Vampire," "Neon Genesis Evangelion" and "Perfect Blue."
